Hey there!!
Welcome to my interior design blog. I am really excited to share with you the ideas that I run across, read about or come up with in my frollics worldwide. I am thrilled you are here!! I am fairly new online and really having fun learning all about technology and having an online presence, which is a new passion of mine. I have been an interior designer and an interior design consultant for almost 30 years and I am currently reinventing myself, expanding my horizons, so I can be more of my fullest potential!!
I have loved traveling the world, finding wonderful accessories and furnishings for my clients and just completely loving my life!! I just returned from Isreal, which was a dream come true, and I went to Fiji last year to visit a client’s resort home on one of the amazingly beautiful islands there. You can see a video of this project in my portfolio on this site. I learned how much I value freedom, people and the American way. I also learned there is a time to rest, work and play. Everyday we have the opportunity to have a great adventure, meet wonderful people and my passion is to help them have the most wonderful lifestyle by helping them move forward to creating interiors as amazing as they are! Now that is a great job!!!

Comfy Leather Chaise is Casual Comfort For Great Rest and Relaxation
Want a comfy lounge chair? Here’s one that is on the casual side in brown or black leather. It is fun to be at the furniture market and try out the furniture. I keep notes of the “great feeling” ones. This is a crowd pleaser, many try it out and I hear many “oh yeahs”. Take your shoes off, kick back and relax in sheer comfort. The metal frame of this wonderful leather chaise lounge offers a little give that makes it feel so fantastic! This awesome piece can also have a pillow on it for looks, but it doesn’t need the pillow for comfort, it is fine as is. This is something I am recommending to my clients for their media room. This is a great alternative to the recliner if you have the room!

Posted by: | CommentsMy daughter was home from college this last week and it was so wonderful to see her and her boyfriend. We had a great time together. We were at lunch a couple days ago at the House of Nanking in San Francisco – by the way, a fabulous restaurant, and I said to them after some chit chat, “Sure would love to be a Grandma.” Me and my big mouth!
They laughed and my daughter’s friend said her mom asked her the same question. That was a relief. Since they aren’t even married yet it looks like I have a while to wait.
You see, there is this lovely baby furniture that I have had my eyes on for years that I think would be perfect for a nursery. I didn’t tell them about it since they won’t be needing it soon, darn. I like it because it is different, great looking and very well made. It is very feminine and would be perfect in a little girl’s room. Who knows what they will choose, but it sure is lovely furniture, so I thought I’d show you, to see what you think.
The bassinet is so beautiful. It has a stand and hangs from hooks, so great for rocking. It is extremely well made. These pieces are heirloom pieces that can be handed down from generation to generation. The bassinet is custom made iron and the round crib with canopy made of wood. They can be ordered in pretty much any custom color and the iron can have brass or silver accents. This takes the custom order time, but I like that it can be made just the way you want it.
The crib is round and can come with a canopy. That is definitely unusual. It is just fun and I have always loved it !
The sweet upholstered occasional chair is cute, cute, cute and kid sized. Any fabric can be used on it and I just think it is precious.
It is still fun to dream. I know my daughter and I will have a very fun time when the time comes. If it’s a boy…future post.
Interior Design Ideas – Murals For Walls Create More Space and A Mood

Murals for walls can be a great solution to getting an expansive feeling for a smaller room, bring the outdoors in or add character to a room. There are many types of murals that range from formal to casual to childlike and even text on your walls.
The mural picture here is a dining room of a client of mine. The problem this client was having is that when people walked into their home, the have a nice entry and the living room is to the left as you walk in, but immediately to the right in front of you is this dining area. It was very boring and needed to be very nice because it is seen immediately as you come into their home.
Their style is traditional so they purchased this oval table that actually extend to approximately 11′ long when they have large dinner parties. It actually can be angled to fit the room at it’s longest length and that has worked great when occassionally needed.
